Dr. R. Sreedher. has been with All India Radio and Doordarshan for over 30 years and is presently the Professor Emeritus at Appejay Stya University.

Has headed the media unit of the Indira Gandhi National Open University for five years Instrumental in starting the Educational TV channels like Gyandarshan, Eklavya and Vyas channels (projects of MHRD, IGNOU and Doordarshan), Anna FM, and the first community radio station in India. He was the finalist in World Technology Network Awards, USA in Education in 2002. He is also the winner of National award for Science Popularization through electronic media.

He was the Director of Commonwealth Association Media Center for Asia, the Asia wing of Commonwealth of Learning.
